Start with your own question
Why is my battery charging now? Why is my car using less power? Niri helps explain the ideas behind a shared energy plan in everyday language. You can revisit the terms and settings your installer introduced at handover and make more sense of how your devices work together.
Understand what each screen tells you
The overview shows energy flows and device readings. Analysis lets you review an earlier period; planning looks ahead at expected usage and prices. A measurement and a forecast mean different things. When considering a device’s behaviour, your configured tariff, available capacity and priorities also matter. An explanation needs to fit your installation and the period you are viewing.
Keep learning after handover
Open Niri when you want an explanation of an unfamiliar reading or setting. Your installer shows you where to find it and how to access your connected devices. Niri provides explanations; it does not make configuration changes through these answers. Agree with your installer who handles technical support and any adjustments to your installation.
Why is the battery charging while the car charges more slowly?
If both need energy, they share the home’s available grid capacity according to configured priorities. Your installer can show the readings and plan. You can then ask Niri to explain terms such as available power and shared capacity, so the choices are easier to follow.
For installers: introduce Niri at handover
- Confirm access to the correct installation.
- Show where Niri is available in the app.
- Try an explanatory question about a familiar device.
- Agree the route for technical support and configuration changes.
