Back to all testemonies

"The freedom, the trust and the atmosphere make me feel truly at home here."

Meet Lennart

When you first meet him, he may seem rather quiet and reserved. But once you get to know him better, you see him really open up. He enjoys being around colleagues, while in his free time he appreciates peace and taking things at his own pace. That balance works perfectly for him.

Working from home is possible, but he consciously chooses to come to the office.
“I like being among colleagues. That social contact gives me energy.”

From student to Innovation Engineer

Before joining Eniris, he was a student. His first steps into working life were exciting: everything was new, he had not yet found his place and it felt quite intimidating. But surprisingly quickly, he found his footing.

“The team is young, open and not corporate at all. That made it much easier to feel at home.”

Today, he works in the Innovation Team, where he does a mix of R&D and engineering. His days start by reviewing open issues, helping colleagues and continuing work on his project. Often, a project begins with research, followed later by implementation.

“The great thing is that you really get to complete a project from A to Z.”

Consultation happens spontaneously.
“Nothing is fixed in the schedule. You simply drop by the team lead. That works very smoothly.”

Proud of growth and impact

The project he is most proud of? The pricing configurator.

“I learned a lot of new things from that. It wasn’t just programming, but also figuring things out, setting things up, testing… It felt good to build something the company really needed.”

Professionally, he has grown thanks to the freedom and ownership he is given.

“You are fully trusted with a project. That makes you broadly deployable and pushes you to take responsibility.”

Personally, he has become more social and has met new people.

A team that feels like a group of friends

He describes the atmosphere as relaxed, warm and approachable.

“You can turn to anyone. Even with the co-founders, everything remains very informal.”

At lunchtime, people play ping-pong, and after work they sometimes go for a drink or play squash.

“Those moments make it really enjoyable.”

What does he value most about his colleagues?

“That everyone is ready to help. And that many colleagues are around my age - that makes it very easy to connect.”

The job in reality

What does he enjoy most about his job? The freedom.

“You align on the broad outlines with the team lead, but you can fill in the details yourself.
You can bring ideas to the table and explore the best way to do things.”

It can also be challenging at times.

“Priorities can change quickly. That is part of being a small and flexible company.
So you also need to be able to switch gears quickly.”

According to him, anyone who wants to succeed here needs to be flexible, comfortable handling several tasks at once and socially minded.

Who he is outside work

He goes climbing twice a week - sometimes with colleagues - and also enjoys playing squash.
At home, he likes gaming, watching series and simply enjoying a quiet evening.

“That is also worth a lot to me.”

Future & ambitions

He wants to continue growing technically and take on more challenging projects.

“I want to keep improving myself.”

He also hopes that new colleagues will bring a bit of extra structure.

“We are flexible and sometimes a little chaotic. A bit of structure helps to find the right balance.”
