Solar on the roof. A battery in the basement. Neighbors doing the same.
Right now all that local energy works in isolation — and a lot of it gets pushed onto the grid for next to nothing.
It doesn't have to.

A solar roof here, a battery there, all making decisions on their own. Energy that could stay in the neighbourhood gets pushed onto the public grid for a fraction of its value. SmartgridX ties every participant into one coordinated system — one brain, one community, one optimised flow.
Energy sharing goes by different names depending on where you are. Different rules, same goal: keep locally generated power local, and inject as little as possible into the public grid.
Owners and tenants behind one connection point share locally produced solar power before drawing from the grid.
A Local Energy Community lets neighbouring sites pool generation and consumption across the public grid.
Tenants buy rooftop solar directly from their building instead of the grid — cheaper power, less injection.
SmartgridX is the technology underneath all of them. It aligns generation and consumption minute by minute, so participants consume more of what they produce and pay less for what they don't. One platform, ready for projects in Switzerland, Germany, and Austria.
Optimising for real-time balancing sounds right. It isn't. Energy suppliers and grid operators settle in 15-minute intervals — so that's exactly where SmartgridX optimises. When internal balancing lines up with the way energy is actually billed, the numbers match. No gap between what the system says and what the invoice says, and no surprises at the end of the month.
SmartgridX is the overarching brain. Getting a participant plugged into it takes one of two routes — whichever fits their setup.
A physical EMS on-site — SmartgridOne Pro for complex installations, Light for simpler ones. The hardware talks directly to local assets and reports straight to the VPP.
Already-connected assets link directly through an API. Each gets its own virtual SmartgridOne Cloud EMS with a secure, direct link to SmartgridX — no extra hardware required.
An additional fee applies for the VPP, ZEV, and LEG functionalities. Contact our sales team to discuss the details.
